Why you should go skinny dipping
Is there anything more liberating than swimming naked? It’s not only a great way to cool down on a hot day, it’s exhilarating and let’s face it … fun! Even if you’re not a card carrying nudist or naturist there are benefits to having a cheeky skinny dip which you may not be aware of.
Improve your overall happiness and mental health
A research study published in the Journal of Happiness Studies found that engaging in nude recreational activities led to an increase in life satisfaction, and improved both the body image and self esteem of participants.
Getting back to nature
We should all spend more time in nature away from the day to day stresses of life and there is truly something magical about swimming naked with the water lapping against your entire body unrestricted. The freedom. The exhilaration. The lack of inhibition, just naked little ‘ol you in the midst of nature.
There are physical benefits
When you’re naked you actually sweat more, allowing your body to release more toxins. Plus exposure to the sun allows our bodies to naturally synthesize vitamin D, so even a 15min dip with the sun hitting your body can boost your immunity more than any supplement. And that sun-kissed feeling lasts for hours giving you a mental boost as well as that physical benefit.
Improve your body positivity
We tend to judge our naked selves quite harshly because we live in a world which promotes unachieveable ideals of attractiveness through magazines, social media and society in general. Participating in activities where you are communally naked with non-intimate partners, or spending some quality alone time au-natural has a positive effect helping you to become more comfortable in your own skin and learning to love yourself again.
It prompts spontaneity & a sense of adventure
Those spur of the moment adventures are often the most memorable. Being out boating with friends and choosing to bare all and leap into the water, deciding that the deserted beach is too alluring to not indulge in a quick skinny dip, all boost our adrenalin and feel good endorphins.
Healthier for your genitals
Underwear and bathers are often made of materials which don’t breathe. Add to that the combination of wet swimmers and warm weather and it’s a breeding ground for bacteria and can cause a UTI.

ReplyEven a midnight swim under the stars is just as good. Pool all to your self, just floating on your back looking up into the stars.
Such a stress relief, with that bit of thrill. I loved doing this In FNQ while I was up there.

More than a month agoBeing GC based the wife and I have done day trips down to Wooyung Beach (not legal) and she's been rather reluctant, worried someone will see her. Our last trip was to Tyagarah, there was a few guys walking around nude and she stripped everything off and said 'well everyone else is naked' so I guess it was more about feeling relaxed in the environment than caring about how she looks.

More than a month agoI've been a nudist all of my adult life, however since putting on a few covid kilos, it's a bit of a stretch for me to use the term "skinny dip", more like a chunky dunk, LoL, and after 60 year's I'm extremely comfortable with the body I have, and I'm happy to show it and share it, I love the freedom of being naked in nature either on my own or with friends, my favourite is Cobblers beach Sydney Harbour, or sometimes Obelisk, and my favourite weekend getaway is River island resort.
After 40+ year's of going nude, I actually find it uncomfortable to go to a normal beach where I have to wear swimmers, because to me a normal beach is where I can go nude.
You only have one body, Love it, embrace it, flaunt it! And do it with a smile on your face!

More than a month agoI do like it, but I'd rather it be secluded. I have been to the nude beach, with friends even, but I'm quite pale (white) apart from my normally exposed tanned areas, to the point other people's comments make me uncomfortable. So, frankly, if it's a beach, I'd rather a conventional beach than a nude one.
ReplyNot a fan of salt water, so really love swimming in lakes, rivers and streams in private places. Or a private pool, have skinny dipped with a couple in their private pool before :)

More than a month agoIf you refer to our Media Guidelines it states: "G rated - this means no full-frontal nudity or anything sexually explicit in nature." So in this instance it's the context of the photo, skinny dipping is not sexually explicit and the woman is not bending over.

ReplyMy holiday destinations all hinge on access to a nude beach. I'm on holidays right now and today would be the first day in over two weeks I haven't been (bloody rain 😡).
In regards sex on the beach. Yes, it happens. But generally late in the day after most people have left. There are issues of public decency, and the small matter of public sex being illegal. Really folks, do not rub peoples noses in it! There will always be those that disregard the norms of public decency 🤷♂️ try not to be one of them.

More than a month agoI love it and do not do it often enough. Love the freedom of it and I do not have a body or assets to brag of, and cuddly, but long not worried about it. It is not sexual for me, always enjoy a glance at either sex though, but be sun smart though.

More than a month agoi must admit I've never been skinny dipping, but the thought has crossed my mind, would love to visit a nudist beach, and let it all hang out, i guess that will be on my bucket list
