What if Swinging Was the Norm?

I reckon it would be a very different world! I would potentially suggest a better one, although I imagine some rather extreme religious sorts having a vastly different opinion, but then I can’t see them being on Adult Match Maker to read about it so the debate has likely been avoided… on this occasion at least.

If swinging was the norm…

All the major holidays would be another opportunity to dress up (or down depending on how you look at it) and enjoy more than just a day off and a few drinks.

New Years would be the biggest swingers event of the year and Melbourne Cup fashions may include some suspenders and corsets underneath the gorgeous dresses for fun later. Oh now that would be fun, there may even be a new category for Cup Leather Wear!

Santa’s sack would contain all sorts of fun toys for Mum and Dad under the tree and there would likely need to be a whole other line and an extra Santa for the naughty Mums and Dads who wanted to sit on Santa’s lap too!

In general there would likely be more sex and more mayhem according to one person I asked. Dinner parties would be more fun and you’d probably not need to wear swimwear at most beaches. Maybe the Academy Awards would have an Oscar for X-Rated films and an award for the best REAL sex scenes!

Gossip around the work water-cooler would be so much more interesting but you couldn’t get fired for it since the boss would be sharing their weekend adventures there too. And surely you couldn’t get in trouble when flying since joining the mile-high club would be part of the typical flying experience, wouldn’t it?

There would be no need for a “sex on premises” licence since every event and premises would allow it by default, and night clubs would have dedicated dance and play zones, with condoms and lube being a standard on the counters next to the nuts, or in special dispensing machines in the bathrooms for those impromptu moments of sheer desire.

Turning 18 and being finally allowed to go clubbing, now THAT would be a hell of an 18th birthday! One that many would likely want to remember… I wonder if that would curb the binge-drinking rate. Between being busy and working off the alcohol instead of drinking it, you’d think so. I wonder if that would also help the unlucky get more sex?

Sex education in school would have a whole other level of education, probably a much more liberal approach too. Kids would learn about sexuality (all the different types, not just straight and gay), exploration and relationship options which means a whole lot more adults that don’t have hang-ups when it comes to sex and their sexuality. Oh dear, could we possibly be creating a society that have increased self-confidence and less baggage? That could be disastrous… NOT!

There would be more playfulness, more flirting in public and less judgment on those that enjoy it… There would be less controversy since footballers (and golfers) would be swingers instead of cheaters! Then what would be in all the magazines and gossip columns? Well if Swinging is the new norm, would that make Monogamy the new taboo? Yikes! That might make swinging less enticing because it’s no longer “taboo” but then I’m sure there would also be less cheating, less lying and better relationships since it was all out in the open (in theory!)

So far it’s sounding like a world I’d love to live in. I’m sure there would be some down sides to it though, there is always another side to every story but for now I think I’ll sit with the images of this as a reality, or at least the good bits of it! How about you?

Not sure how it becoming the norm would affect us.
At least it would be easier to find the wife as all I would need to do is listen for all the Orgasmic noises she would make.

That would be great provided it is within a controlled environment. For example a no from a woman would mean NO. As far as as the people involved have no qualms about swinging and are happy to enjoy the company of each other, I look forward to a world where it is a norm.

I certainly love going to Saints and Sinners Balls for NYE. It is the best night of the year. Social and sexually.

I have had some of the most interesting conversations at swing clubs and swing parties.

    Swing on ladies and gents.

Sounds just like Saints & Sinners to me for the nightclub description. Also I think it is much healthier for relationships to be a swinging and or open one than a cheating and deceptive one that is often the norm. Bi all 'round is good too. Set your limits and go for it people. If it's fun keep doing it, if it isn't fun, stop. It's pretty simple

I personally much prefer men's company so bi doesn't suit me. I negiotiated a hallpass, my hubby was worried what would come next after that when another guy wanted to meet for "coffee" and he got quite loud a few times a day since then. I tried lol.

LoL, If swinging was the norm, then we would probably start seeing monogamist websites appearing which people would view in private :-)

I have often thought to myself and otherwise, if only we all could obey our inner needs and explore without judgement or stress freely. I know the world would be generally a happier place as I for one do obey my needs to pleasure and receive pleasure. By being experienced in all scenarios whether it be swingers parties, small hotel room groups, FMF, MFM, MMMFFM, and MILF action, I can say conclusively what I now prefer. Of course good old 1:1 decent conversation, foreplay and sex is best of all! But I have to say I enjoy the erotic pleasuring of younger others. The intimate sharing of conversation and then bodies. Being liberated with my sexuality. If only we could ALL be more open no matter our marital status, and so experience all our curiosities or fantasies before it is too late. I was 50 when I properly got started on my sexual journey, and I'm having a ball. Maybe it is never that late after all.

Swinging is the norm, and not so taboo, especially in Europe.
However, I seriously doubt opening up the clubs here for testosterone driven males to live out their porn fantasies is going to help them get off the 'gas'. I fear it would only fuel their...'when a girl say's no she means yes' mentality and lead to more sexual violence.
Your perspective is that of a couple. Admirable in some ways, and I am cognisant of the fact that most people who like to swing live more or less in a monogamous relationship with their partner. Vive la difference.
A society that has increased self-confidence and less hang-ups in that regard is indeed welcome.

A much better world would ensue! If more people had more orgasm's they'd be too blissed out to be bothered with hate or prejudice. The world would be healthier as stress levels would dive & heart attacks would only brought on by over exerting in the bedroom, bathroom, lounge room, kitchen, poolside. Hmmm, maybe it's not such a good idea!

The photos seem to mirror the chat room. It does seem to make it more desirable seeing that photo. I don't think copying the American idea of bagging out religious sorts makes for a better world only a segregated one. My parents swapped partners not sure it has made my world better, not saying I am being negative about the concept, don't jump to conclusions! There are open-minded religious sorts on AMM. One concern is people are deliberately sexy just to annoy religious people and be rebellious, that seems rebellion for rebellions sake not sex for enjoyments sake. I do wonder when we are out and about how many are actually into stuff anyway. Condoms are very commonly dispensed in public toilets. There is public flirting mostly non verbal.

Interesting concept.. Playing up behind your partners back would be a thing of the past. So manage bust ups for that reason would decrees, sales of contraception products would impress, to stop unwanted pregnancy..
Sexual harassment would be a thing of the past...
But muslams won't like a swinging society...
Referendum... Swinging is now the normal.
    What country has become promiscuous..

We would love to have swinging being the norm, life would be so much relaxed, more nude beaches with dedicated play areas and maybe on some road side rest stops. Great way to meet new friends on a trip. With people being more relaxed about sex there would be more opportunities meeting people shopping or maybe just going for a walk, a friendly smile and a hello knowing you are likely to get lucky. It would be a much happier world with out all the violence we see and hear about everyday. I guess all this is wishful thinking but it would be our perfect world.
